India vs Australia 2nd test live cricket score, day 2: Aus 478, Ind 48/2. India has already lost Sehwag and Dravid

Bangalore: Australian cricket team has again shown that some early wickets don’t really mean that the whole team is out for less the 350 runs that Indian commentators were expecting. That almost happens with Indian craicket team where only top order is capable of scoring and Laxman like knock that we witnessed in the last test match is extremely rare.

Australia were able to score 478 runs with North completing a century and then going on to score 128 runs.

Meanwhile Indian team’s beginning has been disastrous. Within 10 overs India seem to have lost the initiative to Australians by giving them two precious wickets on a platter.

Hilfenhaus and Johnson scalped two precious wickets of Sehwag and Dravid respectively. I am not sure why Sehwag remains in such a hurry and loses his wicket to the opponents.

Sehwag who faced 28 balls scored thirty runs before giving an easy catch to Johnson. Dravid score only a single run before giving his wicket to Johnson.

Meanwhile Australia used today for scoring fast. If yesterday they batted defensively, today was the day when they batted freely and scored heavily. They were down 5 and their score was just 286 runs when North and Paine started their inning.

Paine was in an attacking mood from the very beginning and scored 59 runs. While North who was frustratingly slow yesterday and in some overs today went against an erring Indian bowlers who couldn’t stop the flow of runs.

North hit a massive six and 17 fours in his inning that first stabilized Australian inning and then gave them advantage in the second match.

Indian spinners harbhajan and Ojha scaled four and three wickets respectively.
