Thrissur: National Secular Conference president Abdul Asees and the Kerala Minister for Industry P.K Kunhalikutty’s brother-in-law K.A Rauf secretly met the Opposition Leader of Kerala V.S Achuthanandan. It seems that Mr. Asees and Rauf discussed with V.S. on the controversial Ice Cream Parlour sex scandal case, Mr. Kunhalikutty is an accused.

Asees filed a petition with the Vigilance department against P.K Kunhalikutty, state Minister for Electricity Aryadan Muhammad and Cherkkalam Abdulla, M.L.A in connection with the case.

The secret meeting that lasted half an hour reportedly took place in Ramaniyalam Thrissur. After the meeting, V.S. said they discussed some legal issues in the case.

Rauf was the person, who revealed P.K Kunhalikutty’s illegal activities behind the notorious Ice Cream Parlour case. Mr. Kunhalikutty allegedly bribed several High Court judges to turn the flow of case from coming against him.

V.S Achuthanandan strongly campaigned against the IUML leader P.K Kunhalikutty in the case when he was the chief minister of Kerala. Following the controversial disclosure of K.A Rauf, the then left government under V.S set up a Special Investigation Team under ADGP Paul Vincent to probe into the allegations.

But with the accession of the UDF government into the power, the investigation was moving slow. The UDF cabinet that includes the alleged IUML leader P.K Kunhalikutty has taken no steps to further the probe.  Meanwhile, several social activists filed petitions demanding probe into the entire drama.
