Human Welfare Foundation rewards meritorious Muslim students

New Delhi: On Sunday in an award distribution ceremony at Convention centre of Jamia Hamdard University here, jointly organized by Human Welfare Foundation, PM Foundation Kerala and Fathima Heath Care Group Mr. Saiyid Hamid, Chairman of HWF and Chancellor Jamia Hamdrad said that the award program will indeed bring confidence and motivation among the students of this community and in turn play a part in empowering the community. During the function the three non governmental organizations jointly felicitated 100 meritorious students of Muslim minority community of Delhi.

The students who scored more than 60% marks in Board Examination for the academic session 2011 were awarded in the function. Each student was awarded a Cash of Rs 1000 and Certificate of Merit. Award function of this kind will also be held in 14 other states of India. First time in 2009 the award function was organized by HWF in Lucknow, U.P. and gradually in last year it organized award function in four states like Assam, Bihar, W.B and U.P.

Present on the occasion Mr. Safdar H. Khan, Chairman, Delhi Minorities Commission said that there are a number of educational scholarship schemes and financial assistance program from government for  minorities . The Muslims should get benefit from these schemes.

Janab Siddique Hassan, the man behind vision 2016 and Human Welfare Foundation said in his key note address that I hope the students who are getting the award will do for their community after the completion of their education.

Ambassador of Bosnia, H.E. Saeed Avdic, Dr. M. Ibrahim, Embassy of Yemen, H.E. Dr Maazim, Prof. Akhtar Siddiqui, former Chairman NCTE, Jb. Master Abdul Wheed, President JIH, Delhi & Haryana, Mr. Musharraf Hussain Siddiqui, Sheikh Shoaib Bhudan, Secretary, Student Islamic Organization of India also given their views in the program.
