CBSE Class 12 exams results out, girls shine once again

New Delhi: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the results of class XII. The results for Delhi, Guwahati and Allahabad zones were announced today. On Wednesday, 19 May, CBSE had declared the results for Chennai, Panchkula and Ajmer regions.
Students can check their results on board’s website www.cbse.nic.in through the roll numbers. CBSE has also provided the facility of SMS and IVRs.
To give relief to the anxious students, Centralized Access System has been launched for the first time.
For result related queries students can dial 1800 117002 from any part of the country.
For the Academic year 2009-10 around 6.99 Lakh students had appeared for XII Class board exams.
This year once again girls have outperformed the boys by a huge margin on more than six percent. A CBSE spokesperson said “the overall pass percentage was 79.87 percent as compared to 81 percent last year.”
The girls pass percentage was 85.28 percent as compared to 75.90 percent for the boys. Chennai has reported highest pass percentage of 92.12 compared to the other regions.
